     Samuel Pellew was born on 11 August 1712 at Mylor, Cornwall, England.1,2 He was the son of Humphry Pellew and Judith Sparnon.3 He married Constantia Langford, daughter of Edward Langford, on 17 May 1752 at Madron, Cornwall, England.1,2 He died in April 1765 at age 52 at Dover, Kent, England.2

     From 17 May 1752, her married name became Pellew.

     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1 He gained the rank of Admiral in the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Battle of Trafalgar, as commander of H.M.S. Conqueror.1
