     John Every was born in 1888.1 He was the son of Oswald William Every and Florence Amy Sherwin.2 He married Kathleen Mary Agnes Cripps, daughter of P. R. Cripps, on 11 July 1922.1 He died on 20 April 1968, without issue.1
     John Every gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Army Service Corps (Reserve).1
