     Oswald Every was born on 25 May 1872.1 He was the son of Oswald William Every and Cecilia Charlotte Burney.2 He married Edith Whitaker, daughter of James Whitaker, on 11 February 1902.1 He died on 9 March 1951 at age 78.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the West India Regiment.1 Between 1898 and 1899 at Sierra LeoneG he served in the suppression of a rising.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Captain in the 7th Battalion, Dorsetshire Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Shropshire.1
