     Andrew Desmond Pelly was born on 28 August 1923.1 He is the son of Sir Kenneth Raymond Pelly and Elspeth Norna Grant.2 He married Nancye Jean Tatham, daughter of Lt.-Col. Eric Tillyer Tatham and Hon. Lettice Theresa Digby, on 9 June 1945.1
     Andrew Desmond Pelly usually went by his middle name of Desmond.1 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Air Force.1 He gained the rank of Second World War.1 He was decorated with the award of Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.).1 He lived in 2003 at Halings, Balcombe, Sussex, England.1
