     Commander Archibald Rider Cheyne was the son of Colonel Reginald Edmonstone Cheyne.² He married Marie Louise Brett, daughter of Lt.-Col. Hon. Maurice Vyner Balliol Brett and Florence Harriet Zena Dones, on 29 September 1938.¹ He died on 20 October 1950 at Setubal, Portugal, accidentally killled.¹
