     Walter Clarmont Skrine was born in 1860 at Clifton, Bristol, England.² He was the son of Henry Duncan Skrine and Susan Caroline Mills. He married Agnes Shakespeare Higginson, daughter of Charles Henry Higginson and Mary Higginson. He died in 1930 at Ballyrankin House, Ferns, County Wexford, Ireland.²
