     Sir William Francis Augustus Eliott of Stobs, 8th Bt. was born on 2 February 1827.¹ He was the son of Sir William Francis Eliott of Stobs, 7th Bt. and Theresa Boswell.² He married, firstly, Charlotte Maria Wood, daughter of Robert Wood, on 1 December 1846.¹ He married, secondly, Hannah Grissell Birkett, daughter of H. T. Birkett, on 22 April 1879.¹ He died on 6 April 1910 at age 83, without male issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Eliott, of Stobs [N.S., 1666] on 3 September 1864.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)¹ He gained the rank of in the 93rd Highlanders.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Roxburghshire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Roxburghshire.¹

     Charlotte Maria Wood was the daughter of Robert Wood.² She married Sir William Francis Augustus Eliott of Stobs, 8th Bt., son of Sir William Francis Eliott of Stobs, 7th Bt. and Theresa Boswell, on 1 December 1846.¹ She died on 29 November 1878.¹
     Her married name became Eliott.

     Grace Theresa Blanche Eliott was born in March 1851.¹ She was the daughter of Sir William Francis Augustus Eliott of Stobs, 8th Bt. and Charlotte Maria Wood.² She died on 24 July 1932 at age 81, unmarried.¹

     H. T. Birkett lived at Foxbury, Surrey, England^G.¹

     Hannah Grissell Birkett was the daughter of H. T. Birkett.² She married, firstly, Henry Kensall before 1879.¹ She married, secondly, Sir William Francis Augustus Eliott of Stobs, 8th Bt., son of Sir William Francis Eliott of Stobs, 7th Bt. and Theresa Boswell, on 22 April 1879.¹ She died on 23 August 1927.¹
     From before 1879, her married name became Kensall.¹ From 22 April 1879, her married name became Eliott.¹

     Alexander Boswell Eliott was born on 10 July 1830.¹ He was the son of Sir William Francis Eliott of Stobs, 7th Bt. and Theresa Boswell.² He married, firstly, Katherine Craigie, daughter of William Craigie, in 1855.¹ He married, secondly, Annabella Carmichael, daughter of Neil Carmichael, on 29 November 1858.² He died on 2 March 1882 at age 51.²
     He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Navy.¹

     Katherine Craigie is the daughter of William Craigie.² She married Alexander Boswell Eliott, son of Sir William Francis Eliott of Stobs, 7th Bt. and Theresa Boswell, in 1855.¹
     From 1855, her married name became Eliott.

     Sir Arthur Augustus Boswell Eliott of Stobs, 9th Bt. was born on 13 July 1856.¹ He was the son of Alexander Boswell Eliott and Katherine Craigie.² He married Lilia Burbank, daughter of John Burbank, in 1884.¹ He died on 15 January 1926 at age 69.¹
     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Eliott, of Stobs [N.S., 1666] on 6 April 1910.¹
