     Colonel Edward Rushworth Blakiston Murray was born on 7 December 1868.1 He was the son of James Pulteney Murray and Henrietta Victoria Blakiston.2 He married Hilda Dorothea Paul, daughter of Reginald Paul, on 15 August 1905.1 He died in 1942, as the result of enemy action.1
     He fought in the First World War.2 He was decorated with the award of the Order of St. Stanislas of Russia.2 He fought in the Afghan War in 1919.2 He fought in the North-West Frontier between 1919 and 1920.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Indian Army.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier-General in 1921.2

     From 15 August 1905, her married name became Murray.

     James Patrick Murray was born on 10 October 1906.1 He was the son of Colonel Edward Rushworth Blakiston Murray and Hilda Dorothea Paul.2 He married Margaret Ruth Buchanan, daughter of Reverend Alfred Edward Buchanan, on 21 May 1934.1 He died on 8 January 1993 at age 86.1
     He was educated at St. Edward's School, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1928 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was Commissioner of Northern Rhodesia in UK.1 He was Senior Provincial Commissioner of Northern Rhodesia.1 He became a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1958.1
