     David Mortimer Murray was born on 11 May 1832.¹ He was the son of David Rodney Murray and Frances Portal.² He married Ida Fenton, daughter of Captain Lewis Fenton, on 3 January 1861.¹ He died on 24 January 1881 at age 48, without issue.¹
