     Hugh Diarmid James Coffey was born on 24 December 1888.² He was the son of George Coffey and Jane Sophia Frances L'Estrange.^3,4 He married, firstly, Frances Georgiana Chenevix Trench, daughter of Reverend Herbert Francis Chenevix Trench and Isabella Catherine Trench, on 17 April 1918.³ He married, secondly, Sheela Wilbraham FitzJohn Trench, daughter of Wilbraham FitzJohn Trench and Mary Alicia Cross, on 15 August 1929.¹ He died on 7 July 1964 at age 75.¹
