Edward Plunkett was the son of Patrick Plunkett, 8th Lord Dunsany and Jane Heneage.2 He married Lady Catherine Mac Donnell, daughter of Randal Mac Sorley Mac Donnell, 1st Earl of Antrim and Alice O'Neill.1 He died in May 1668, in the lifetime of the father.1
