     William Dundas is the son of George Dundas of Kincavel and Helen Cooper.2 He married Elizabeth Elphinstone, daughter of Richard Elphinstone and Jean Bruce.1
     He had seven other sons and three daughters.1 He lived at Blair Castle, Perthshire, Scotland.1 He gained the rank of Jacobite Uprising in 1715.1 He was temporarily imprisoned and forced to sell his estate of Airth (which he acquired through his wife).1
