     Admiral Sir John Burnett Dundas, 4th Bt. was born on 17 November 1794.¹ He was the son of Sir David Dundas, 1st Bt. and Isabella Robertson.² He married Caroline Jeffreys, daughter of Reverend John Jeffreys, on 30 December 1828.¹ He died on 2 September 1868 at age 73, without issue , when the btcy expired.¹
     Admiral Sir John Burnett Dundas, 4th Bt. succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Dundas, of Richmond [U.K., 1815] on 16 June 1848.¹ He gained the rank of Admiral.¹ On his death, his baronetcy expired.¹
