Admiral Sir John Burnett Dundas, 4th Bt. was born on 17 November 1794.1 He was the son of Sir David Dundas, 1st Bt. and Isabella Robertson.2 He married Caroline Jeffreys, daughter of Reverend John Jeffreys, on 30 December 1828.1 He died on 2 September 1868 at age 73, without issue , when the btcy expired.1
Admiral Sir John Burnett Dundas, 4th Bt. succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Dundas, of Richmond [U.K., 1815] on 16 June 1848.1 He gained the rank of Admiral.1 On his death, his baronetcy expired.1
