     Sophie Kathleen Kennedy was the daughter of James Benson Kennedy.2 She married Sir George Alexander Drummond Dunbar of Durn, 8th Bt., son of Sir Drummond Miles Dunbar of Durn, 7th Bt. and Maria Louisa Smith, on 24 May 1916.1 She died in June 1936.1
     From 24 May 1916, her married name became Dunbar.

     Sir Drummond Cospatrick Ninian Dunbar of Durn, 9th Bt. was born on 9 May 1917.1 He is the son of Sir George Alexander Drummond Dunbar of Durn, 8th Bt. and Sophie Kathleen Kennedy.2 He married Sheila Barbara Mary de Fonblanque, daughter of John Berkeley de Fonblanque, on 5 January 1957.1 He died on 12 June 2000 at age 83.1
     Sir Drummond Cospatrick Ninian Dunbar of Durn, 9th Bt. was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Hampshire, England.1 He graduated from Worcester College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1938 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded twice.1 He was decorated with the award of Military Cross (M.C.) in 1943.1 He succeeded to the title of 9th Baronet Dunbar, of Durn [N.S., 1698] on 25 June 1949.1 He retired from the military in 1958, with the rank of Major, late of the Black Watch.1
