     George Stephens Gough, 2nd Viscount Gough of Goojerat was born in 1815.¹ He was the son of Field Marshal Hugh Gough, 1st Viscount Gough of Goojerat and Frances Maria Stephens.¹ He married, firstly, Sarah Elizabeth Palliser, daughter of Wray Bury Palliser and Anne Gledstones, on 17 October 1840.² He married, secondly, Jane Arbuthnot, daughter of George Arbuthnot and Elizabeth Fraser, on 3 June 1846.¹ He died on 31 May 1895.²
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Grenadier Guards.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) for County Tipperary.¹ He was invested as a Fellow, Linnean Society (F.L.S.).² He was invested as a Fellow, Geological Society (F.G.S.).² He held the office of High Sheriff of County Tipperary in 1858.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) for County Galway.¹ He succeeded to the title of 2nd Viscount Gough of Goojerat, in the Punjab and of the city of Limerick [U.K., 1849] on 2 March 1869.² He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Gough, of Synone and Drangan, co.Tipperary [U.K., 1842] on 2 March 1869.¹ He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baron Gough of ChinKangFoo, in China and of Maharajpore and the Sutlej in the East Indies [U.K., 1846] on 2 March 1869.¹

     Anna Margaret Palliser was the daughter of Wray Bury Palliser and Anne Gledstones.² She married John Nugent Rose, 15th of Holme, son of Lt.-Gen. Sir John Rose, 14th of Holme, on 26 February 1846.¹ She died, without issue.¹
      From 26 February 1846, her married name became Rose.

     John Nugent Rose, 15th of Holme was born on 2 September 1812.² He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir John Rose, 14th of Holme.² He married Anna Margaret Palliser, daughter of Wray Bury Palliser and Anne Gledstones, on 26 February 1846.¹
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹ He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).¹

     Mary Palliser was the daughter of Wray Bury Palliser and Anne Gledstones.² She died, unmarried.¹

     Reverend John Bury Palliser was born on 4 February 1791.¹ He was the son of John Palliser and Grace Barton.^2,1 He married Julia Phillida Howe, daughter of Captain John Howe, on 10 March 1830.¹ He died on 8 April 1864 at age 73.¹
     He was the Rector at Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland.¹ He lived at Annestown, County Waterford, Ireland.¹

     Richard Bury Palliser was the son of John Palliser and Grace Barton.^2,1 He married Fanny Marrat, daughter of Joseph Marrat, on 8 August 1832.¹ He died in 1852.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 12th Lancers.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Sussex.¹ He lived at Castle Warden, County Kildare, Ireland.¹

     Joseph Marrat held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.).¹ He lived at Wimbledon House, Surrey, England.¹

     Fanny Marrat is the daughter of Joseph Marrat.² She married Richard Bury Palliser, son of John Palliser and Grace Barton, on 8 August 1832.¹
      From 8 August 1832, her married name became Palliser.
