     Thelma Grace Arbuthnot was born on 3 October 1911.2 She was the daughter of Harold Denison Arbuthnot and Anne Grace Lambert.1,2 She married, firstly, Somerset Struben de Chair, son of Admiral Sir Dudley Rawson Stratford de Chair and Enid Struben, on 8 October 1932.1 She and Somerset Struben de Chair were divorced in 1950.2 She married, secondly, Sir Jocelyn Morton Lucas, 4th Bt., son of Sir Edward Lingard Lucas, 3rd Bt. and Mary Helen Chance, on 20 October 1960.1 She died on 23 January 1974 at age 62.1
     From 8 October 1932, her married name became de Chair.1 From 20 October 1960, her married name became Lucas.1
