     Vice-Admiral Sir Godfrey James Milton-Thompson was born on 25 April 1930 at Cheshire, England.2 He was the son of Reverend James Milton-Thompson and May LeMare Hoare.3,4 He married Noreen Helena Frances Fitzmaurice, daughter of Sir Desmond FitzJohn Fitzmaurice and Nancy Leake, on 5 April 1952.1 He died on 23 September 2012 at age 82 at Cornwall, England.5
     He was educated at Eastbourne College, Eastbourne, Sussex, EnglandG.5 He graduated from Queens' College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.) He graduated from St. Thomas' Hospital Medical School, London, England, with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)5 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Physicians, London (F.R.C.P.) in 1974. He lived in 1976 at Pool Hall, Menheniot, Liskeard, Cornwall, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Surgeon-Commander in the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in 1985.6 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1988.6 He was appointed Knight of Justice, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.J.St.J.) in 1989.

     Nora Margaret Edeen Fitzmaurice was born on 16 November 1890.1 She was the daughter of John Day Stokes Fitzmaurice and Emily Grace Ellen Cooke.2,1 She married Lt.-Col. John Lionel Philips, son of George Henry Philips, on 2 September 1911.1 She and Lt.-Col. John Lionel Philips were divorced in 1941.1 She died on 2 October 1959 at age 68.1
     From 2 September 1911, her married name became Philips.1
