     John FitzGerald was the son of Thomas Fitzgerald and Cicely Archer.² A settlement for the marriage between him and Elizabeth Browne was made on 19 June 1669.¹ He died between 23 July 1717 and 21 January 1720.¹ His will was proven (by probate) on 21 January 1720.²
     On 21 December 1653 he was ordered to remove to Connaught and was 'planted' in the parish of Turlough, County Mayo.¹ He was the half estates of Walter Bourke were confirmed to him under Act of Settlement in 1677.¹ He lived at Gurtines, County Kilkenny, Ireland^G.¹ His last will was dated 23 July 1717.²
