Sir Edward Pierson Thesiger was born on 19 December 1842.1 He was the son of Frederick Thesiger, 1st Baron Chelmsford of Chelmsford and Anna Maria Tinling.2 He married Georgina Mary Stopford, daughter of William Bruce Stopford Sackville and Caroline Harriet Sackville, on 13 May 1869.1 He died on 11 November 1928 at age 85.1
     He was Clerk of the Parliamentary Office in 1862.1 He was Secretary of Presentations to the Lords Chancellor between 1866 and 1890.1 He was Clerk-Assistant to Parliament between 1890 and 1917.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1

     Frederick Thesiger, 1st Baron Chelmsford of Chelmsford was born on 15 July 1794 at 1 Fowkes Building, Tower Street, London, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Charles Thesiger and Mary Anne Williams.2 He was baptised on 4 September 1794 at St. Dunstan's-in-the-East Church, London, EnglandG.3 He married Anna Maria Tinling, daughter of William Tinling and Frances Pierson, on 9 March 1822 at All Saints' Church, Southampton, Hampshire, EnglandG.3 He died on 5 October 1878 at age 84.2 He was buried at Brompton Cemetery, Brompton, London, EnglandG.4 His will was proven (by probate) on 23 October 1878, at under £50,000.4
