     General Henry Darby-Griffith was born in 1810 at London, England.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Matthew Chitty Darby-Griffith and Louisa Hankey.2 He married Matty Darby Bainbridge.1 He died on 17 November 1887, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 5th Lancers.1 He gained the rank of General in the Royal Scots Greys (which he commanded throughout the Crimean War.)1 He fought in the Crimean War.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Victoria.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Margaretta, Dundrum, County Dublin, IrelandG.1

Major George Darby-Griffith1

     Major George Darby-Griffith was the son of Maj.-Gen. Matthew Chitty Darby-Griffith and Louisa Hankey.2 He married Lucinda Dimsdale, daughter of Thomas Robert Dimsdale, 4th Baron Dimsdale, on 30 June 1840.1 He was also reported to have been married on 10 June 1840.1 He died on 15 April 1846.1
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Essex between 1830 and 1831.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 90th Light Infantry.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1

Eleanor Seymour1

     Eleanor Seymour was the daughter of Thomas Seymour and Jame Thompson.1,2 She married Captain Peter Lambert, son of Walter Peter Lambert and Ellen Tubbs, in 1810.1 She died on 20 November 1828.1 She was buried on 22 November 1828 at Athenry, County Galway, IrelandG.2
     From 1810, her married name became Lambert.1
