Martha Cowdery was born circa 1775.1 She married Lewis Dewey, son of Lewis Doue and Mary Logsden, on 8 December 1806 at Marylebone, London, England.1,2 She died on 29 January 1849.1

Charles Dewey was born on 9 September 1813.1 He was the son of Lewis Dewey and Martha Cowdery.2 He married Caroline Ballard, daughter of Thomas Ballard and Mary Anne Fiske, in June 1837.1 He died on 19 January 1892 at age 78.1
