Henry Theophilus Clements was born on 24 July 1820.1 He was the son of Colonel Henry John Clements and Louisa Stewart.2 He married Gertrude Caroline Lucy Markham, daughter of Reverend David Frederick Markham, on 3 December 1868.1 He died on 7 January 1904 at age 83.1
