     Thomas Graves Clarke was born on 19 August 1911.1 He was the son of George Alfred Erskine Clarke and Tallulah Graves.2,1 He and May Nalder were divorced.1 He married, firstly, May Nalder.1 He married, secondly, Vera Burton, daughter of Percy George Burton, on 16 September 1944.1 He died on 14 February 1969 at age 57.1
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Peterhouse College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.1 He was commander of the H.M.S.
