     George Tilson Shaen Carter was born on 6 March 1848.3 He was the son of Thomsa Shaen Carter and Maria Susan Tilson.2 He married, firstly, Eva Augusta French, daughter of William John French, on 15 April 1878.3 He married, secondly, Grace Hughes, daughter of Reverend David Hughes, on 3 October 1894.3 He married, thirdly, Edith Hamilton Urry.3 He died on 4 September 1918 at age 70.3
     George Tilson Shaen Carter was educated at St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).3 He lived at Pebworth Manor, Stratford-on-Avon, Warwickshire, England.3 He lived at Shaen Manor, County Mayo, Ireland.3 At Watlington Park, Oxfordshire, England, (an unknown value).3
