     Arnold Philip Carden was born on 9 February 1859.¹ He was the son of Andrew Carden and Ann Berkeley.^2,1 He married Eva Hamilton, daughter of Robert Hamilton.¹ He died on 23 November 1914 at age 55.¹
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Scots Greys.¹ He was County Insector (Sligo) with the Royal Irish Constabulary.¹

     Eva Hamilton was the daughter of Robert Hamilton.² She married Arnold Philip Carden, son of Andrew Carden and Ann Berkeley.¹ She died in 1939.¹
     Her married name became Carden.

     Philip Berkeley Hamilton Carden was born on 24 March 1902.¹ He was the son of Arnold Philip Carden and Eva Hamilton.² He died in 1928, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers.¹ In 1926 he disentailed Police barracks in Templemore.¹
