     Benjamin Wellesley Burton was born on 20 September 1883.1 He was the son of William Fitzwilliam Burton and Georgina Spencer Wellesley.2 He married Frederica Phyllis Burson, daughter of William Burson, on 1 January 1930.1 He died on 5 November 1951 at age 68, drowned in River Witham.1
