     Sir Joseph Fayrer, 1st Bt. was born on 6 December 1824.¹ He was the son of Commander Robert John Fayrer and Agnes Wilkinson.² He married Bethia Mary Spens, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Andrew Spens and Diana Diggle, on 4 October 1855.¹ He died on 21 May 1907 at age 82.²

     Lt.-Col. James Outram Spens Fayrer was born on 20 February 1861.¹ He was the son of Sir Joseph Fayrer, 1st Bt. and Bethia Mary Spens.² He married Katharine Steward, daughter of Frederick Steward, on 31 August 1892.¹ He died on 15 October 1918 at age 57.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 5th Gurkha Rifle Regiment, Indian Army.¹

     Katharine Steward was born circa 1870.¹ She was the daughter of Frederick Steward.² She married Lt.-Col. James Outram Spens Fayrer, son of Sir Joseph Fayrer, 1st Bt. and Bethia Mary Spens, on 31 August 1892.¹ She died on 11 September 1959.¹
     From 31 August 1892, her married name became Fayrer.

     Joseph Steward Fayrer was born on 30 April 1897.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. James Outram Spens Fayrer and Katharine Steward.² He died on 21 January 1916 at age 18, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of in the 2nd/37th Dogras, Indian Army.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹
