Margaret May Murphy was born on 5 June 1857.1 She was the daughter of John Nicholas Murphy and Alice Mary Leahy.2 She married Daniel John Cronin-Coltsmann, son of Daniel Cronin-Coltsmann and Helena Lyons, on 29 April 1879.1 She died on 11 March 1895 at age 37.1

Nicholas Murphy was the son of Nicholas Murphy and Susan Donegan.2 He married, firstly, Maria Frances Molony, daughter of Bartholomew Molony, circa 4 August 1853.1 He married, secondly, Mary Gertrude Purcell, daughter of Richard Purcell, on 23 January 1877.1 He died on 10 January 1909.1
He was Director of James Murphy & Company, and merged this firm with surrounding distilleries into Cork Distilleries Company in 1867.1 He lived at Carrigmore, County Laois, IrelandG.1 He lived at Norwood, County Laois, IrelandG.1
