Francis Stack Murphy was born on 25 December 1807.3 He was the son of Jeremiah Murphy and Mary Stack.2
Francis Stack Murphy held the office of Serjeant-at-Law.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cork, the first Roman Catholic Member of Parliament for Cork after Catholic Emancipation.1 He was invested as a Queen's Counsel (Q.C.).1 He was educated in 1826 at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.3
