     Colonel Thomas Henry Sebag-Montefiore was born on 9 November 1887.1 He was the son of Arthur Sebag-Montefiore and Harriette Beddington.1 He married Irene Catherine Cohen, daughter of Sir Leonard Lionel Cohen and Eliza Henrietta Schloss, on 11 December 1919.1 He died on 11 June 1954 at age 66.1
     He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.1 He was commissioned in 1906, in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1914.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919, in France, Belgium, Italy and Germany.1 He gained the rank of Major in 1917.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He gained the rank of Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel in 1932.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1934.1 He was commander of the 1st Regiment, Royal Horse Artillery.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was Commandant of the 125 OCTU, Royal Artillery between 1939 and 1944.1
