Captain Robert Sebag-Montefiore was born on 4 October 1882.1 He was the son of Arthur Sebag-Montefiore and Harriette Hannah Beddington.1 He married Hon. Ida Marie Samuel, daughter of Marcus Samuel, 1st Viscount Bearsted and Fanny Elizabeth Benjamin, on 27 April 1911 at London, England.1 He died on 19 November 1915 at age 33, from wounds received in action.1
He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1906 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1907 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1909 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Member of the London County Council.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the East Kent Yeomanry.1 He fought in the First World War.1
