     Frances Starkie Mary Armytage was the daughter of Colonel Henry Armytage and Charlotte Le Gendre Starkie.2 She married Rev. Hon. Lewis William Denman, son of Thomas Denman, 1st Baron Denman of Dovedale and Theodosia Anne Vevers, on 22 August 1865.1 She died on 24 December 1893, without issue.1
     From 22 August 1865, her married name became Denman.
