     James Makgill was baptised on 9 December 1623.1 He was the son of Robert Makgill, Lord Foord and Margaret Purves.2 He married Margaret Ramsay of Idingtoun in 1655.1 He died circa 22 February 1670.1
     James Makgill lived at Fingask, Stirlingshire, Scotland.1
