     Major Edward Brereton was born on 3 March 1728.¹ He was the son of William Brereton and Alice Norcott.² He married Amelia Henrietta Schaub, daughter of Sir Luke Schaub, on 30 October 1783.¹ He died on 21 May 1801 at age 73, without issue.¹
     In 1759 he served in Canada in the assault and capture of Cape Breton Island.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the service of the 22nd Regiment of Foot.¹ He lived at The Tithings, Worcestershire, England.¹

     Amelia Henrietta Schaub was born circa 1731.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Luke Schaub.² She married Major Edward Brereton, son of William Brereton and Alice Norcott, on 30 October 1783.¹ She died on 13 February 1829.¹
     From 30 October 1783, her married name became Brereton. She was granted apartments at Hampton Court Palace.¹

     Mary Brereton was born on 25 May 1731.¹ She was the daughter of William Brereton and Alice Norcott.² She married, firstly, Thomas Harman, son of Wentworth Harman.¹ She married, secondly, Colonel Richard Bailie in August 1767.¹
     Her married name became Harman. From August 1767, her married name became Bailie.
