     William Monckton-Arundell, 2nd Viscount Galway was the son of John Monckton, 1st Viscount Galway and Lady Elizabeth Manners.2 He married Elizabeth Villa-Real, daughter of Joseph da Costa Villa-Real, on 12 August 1747.1 He died in 1772.1
     He was given the name of William Monckton at birth.1 He was Receiver-General of the Crown rents for Yorkshire, Westmorland and Durham in 1748.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Pontefract and Thirsk.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Viscount of Killard, co. Clare [I., 1727] on 15 July 1751.3 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Viscount Galway, co. Galway [I., 1727] on 15 July 1751.3 In 1769 his name was legally changed to William Monckton-Arundell by Royal Licence, under the terms of the will of his aunt, Lady Frances Arundell.1

      Her married name became Monckton.

     Henry William Monckton-Arundell, 3rd Viscount Galway was born on 15 May 1749.1 He was the son of William Monckton-Arundell, 2nd Viscount Galway and Elizabeth Villa-Real.2 He died on 2 March 1774 at age 24, unmarried.1
     He was given the name of Henry William Monckton at birth.1 In 1769 his name was legally changed to Henry William Monckton-Arundell.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Viscount Galway [I., 1727] in 1772.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baron of Killard, co. Clare [I., 1727] in 1772.1

     Robert Monckton-Arundell, 4th Viscount Galway was born on 4 July 1758.1 He was the son of William Monckton-Arundell, 2nd Viscount Galway and Elizabeth Villa-Real.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Mathew, daughter of Daniel Mathew, on 1 March 1779.1 He married, secondly, Mary Bridget Milnes, daughter of Pemberton Milnes, on 24 May 1803.3 He died on 23 July 1810 at age 52.1
     He was also known as Robert Monckton.1 In 1769 his name was legally changed to Robert Monckton-Arundell.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baron of Killard, co. Clare [I., 1727] on 2 March 1774.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Viscount Galway, co. Galway [I., 1727] on 2 March 1774.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for York and Pontefract.1 He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.).1 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.).1
