     Evelyn Hilary Branfoot was born on 16 June 1915.3 She was the daughter of Clive Branfoot.2 She married William Francis Deedes, Baron Deedes, son of Herbert William Deedes and Melesina Gladys Chenevix Trench, in November 1942.1 She died on 5 May 2004 at age 88.3
     Evelyn Hilary Branfoot usually went by her middle name of Hilary.3 From November 1942, her married name became Deedes. As a result of her marriage, Evelyn Hilary Branfoot was styled as Baroness Deedes on 23 September 1986.
