     Lucy Cuthbert Townsend was born on 23 September 1844.2 She was the daughter of Richard Edward Townsend and Elizabeth Jane Bath.1,3 She married John Chetwode Chetwood-Aiken, son of Peter Freeland Aiken and Constantia Elizabeth Chetwood, on 28 March 1865.2 She died on 21 September 1931 at age 86.1 She was also reported to have died on 21 September 1913.2
     From 28 March 1865, her married name became Chetwood-Aiken.

     Richard Edward Townsend was born on 31 July 1800.2 He was the son of Samuel Philip Townsend and Helena Robinson.3 He married Elizabeth Jane Bath, daughter of Neville Bath, in 1827.2 He died on 6 January 1878 at age 77.2
     He was also known as Edward Richard Townsend.2 He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)2 He lived at Cork, County Cork, IrelandG.2
