     Jonathan Chetwode was born on 31 May 1757.1 He was the son of Valentine Knightley Chetwode and Henrietta Maria Cope.1 He died on 11 May 1839 at age 81.1
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Queen's County in 1781.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Militia.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)1 He lived at Woodbrook, Portarlington, County Laois, IrelandG.1 He was twice married, but had no issue.1
