Richard Tyrell-Kenyon was born on 26 November 1948.2 He was the son of Lloyd Tyrell-Kenyon, 5th Baron Kenyon, Baron of Gredington and Leila Mary Cookson.1,2 He married, firstly, Davina Jane Jessel, daughter of David Charles George Jessel and Hon. Amelia Grace FitzRoy, on 7 October 1970.1 He and Davina Jane Jessel were divorced in 1977.1 He married, secondly, Janet Nelson in 1980.2 He died in 1982.1

Lloyd Tyrell-Kenyon, 5th Baron Kenyon, Baron of Gredington was born on 13 September 1917.2 He was the son of Lloyd Tyrell-Kenyon, 4th Baron Kenyon, Baron of Gredington and Gwladys Julia Howard.2 He married Leila Mary Cookson, daughter of Commander John Wyndham Cookson and Mary Colquhoun, on 3 June 1946.2 He died in 1993.2
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Kenyon, Baron of Gredington, co. Flint [G.B., 1788] on 30 November 1927.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Kenyon, of Gredington, co. Flint [G.B., 1784] on 30 November 1927.2 He was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He retired from the military in 1943, with the rank of Captain, late of the Royal Artillery (Territorial Army.)2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 1944.2 He held the office of Member of the Flintshire County Council in 1946.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) in 1948.2 He was Trustee of the Nationall Portrait Gallery between 1953 and 1993.2 He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)2 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by University of Wales, Wales, in 1958.2 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)2 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1972.2
