     Henry Franklin Chevallier Kitchener, Viscount Broome was born on 17 October 1878.1 He was the son of Henry Elliott Chevallier Kitchener, 2nd Earl Kitchener of Khartoum and of Broome and Eleanor Fanny Lushington.2 He married Adela Mary Evelyn Monins, daughter of John Henry Monins, on 11 September 1916.1 He died on 13 June 1928 at age 49.1
     He fought in the Boxer Rebellion in 1900.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He was decorated with the award of the Order of the Nile (4th Class).1
