     John Davidson was born circa 1804.1 He was the son of Henry Davidson of Tulloch and Caroline Elizabeth Diffel.2 He married Augusta Bailey, daughter of Lady Sarah Bailey.1 He died on 28 April 1898.1
     John Davidson gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 2nd Life Guards.1
