Samuel Francis Dashwood was born on 3 April 1848.1 He was the son of Reverend Samuel Vere Dashwood and Edith Elizabeth Hawkshaw.2 He married Alice Lucy Buller, daughter of Reverend William Buller and Eleanor Coney, on 13 December 1877.1 He died on 2 May 1897 at age 49, without issue.1
