     Humphry Ringler Drummond-Hay was born on 7 June 1886.1 He was the son of Charles Drummond-Hay and Alena Cropley.2 He married, firstly, May Katherine Bury, daughter of Sir George J. Bury, on 17 August 1912.1 He and May Katherine Bury were divorced in 1937.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy Clare Carey Heubach, daughter of Frederick William Heubach, on 12 November 1937.1 He died on 2 September 1965 at age 79.1
     He was a practising solicitor and barrister in 1911 at Manitoba, Canada.1 He was member of the legal firm of Pitblado, Hoskin, Bennest and Drummond-Hay at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.3 He was invested as a Queen's Counsel (Q.C.).1

     He fought in the First World War, with the Canadian Expeditionary Forces.3 He fought in the Second World War, with the Canadian Expeditionary Forces.1

     He fought in the Second World War.3 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Canadian Air Force.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Canadian Army (Militia), General List.3
