     Philip Reginald Cocks, 5th Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham was born on 22 August 1815.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Philip James Cocks and Frances Herbert.2 He married Camilla Sophia Anne Newton, daughter of Reverend William Newton, on 14 December 1859.1 He died on 30 September 1899 at age 84, without issue.1
     Philip Reginald Cocks, 5th Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Cocks, of Evesham, co. Worcester [G.B., 1772] on 26 September 1883.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham, co. Worcester [G.B., 1784] on 26 September 1883.1
