     Colonel Frederick John Fane was born on 30 January 1840.1 He was the son of Reverend Frederick Adrian Scrope Fane and Joanna Hobhouse.1 He married Annie Louisa Abbott, daughter of Thomas Abbott, on 13 November 1873.1 He died on 4 June 1923 at age 83.1
