     He was a professor of history at University of Glasgow, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 He graduated with a honoray Doctor of Law (LL.D.).1

     Very Reverend Michael McCausland Gibbs was born on 1 September 1900.1 He was the son of Reverend Reginald Gibbs and Lucia McCausland.1 He married Edith Marjorie Ward, daughter of John Spencer Ward and Beatrix Leyla Marjorie Wentworth Dunbar, on 4 August 1926.1 He died on 27 July 1962 at age 61.1
