     Sir John Richard Staples, 14th Bt. was born on 5 April 1906.1 He was the son of John Molesworth Staples and Helen Lucy Johnstone Barrington.2 He married Sybel Wade, daughter of Dr. Charles Henry Wade, on 7 October 1933.1 He died in 1989.1
     Sir John Richard Staples, 14th Bt. succeeded to the title of 14th Baronet Staples, of Lissan, co. Tyrone and Faghanvale, co. Londonderry [I., 1628] in December 1970.1
