     Walter Spencer Stanhope was born on 4 February 1749.1,2 He married Mary Winifred Pulleine, daughter of Thomas Babington Pulleine, in 1783.1 He died on 10 April 1822 at age 73.1
     Walter Spencer Stanhope was baptised with the name of Walter Stanhope.1 On 10 February 1776 his name was legally changed to Walter Spencer Stanhope by Sign Manual.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.).1
