     Alexander Lumsden, 8th of Cushnie was the son of Robert Lumsden, 7th of Cushnie and Agnes Leith.2 He married, firstly, Jane Duguid, daughter of Francis Duguid of Auchenhove.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Leith.1 He died in 1714.1
     Alexander Lumsden, 8th of Cushnie was recognised by the Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Office between 1680 and 1687.1
