     Robert Alexander Currie was born in 1867.1 He was the son of Robert George Currie and Fanny Catherine Ouseley Macrae.2 He married Eleanor Mary Richardson, daughter of T. W. Richardson, on 14 September 1904.1 He died on 14 February 1939.1
     He was Commissioner of Chinese Maritime Customs.1 He was awarded the Order of the Double Dragon of China.1 He was awarded the Order of the Excellent Crop of China.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)1
