     Robert Alexander Currie was born in 1867.1 He was the son of Robert George Currie and Fanny Catherine Ouseley Macrae.2 He married Eleanor Mary Richardson, daughter of T. W. Richardson, on 14 September 1904.1 He died on 14 February 1939.1
     Robert Alexander Currie was decorated with the award of Order of the Excellent Crop of China.1 He was decorated with the award of Order of the Double Dragon of China.1 He was Commissioner of Chinese Maritime Customs.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.).1
